Rich and Danielle’s Vintage Wedding at the Barn at Gibbet Hill
Saturday, June 25, 2016, Curtis and Anna from CKE were the DJ/MC’s for the vintage wedding celebration of Danielle and Rich Dunlay at the Barn at Gibbet Hill in Groton, MA. Curtis and Kim were the photographers and live photo editors. The weather was beautiful and it was a perfect, romantic setting for the happy couple to say their “I Do’s.” After sharing an intensely romantic moment on their first date, Danielle and Rich knew they had finally found the one they were meant to be with. Two years later we celebrated their nuptials on the EXACT day they discovered they were in love! After seeing these two together, there is no question that they will live the rest of their lives in utter happiness just being in the presence of one another. While the exchanging of vows was no doubt enchanting and emotional, it was time for great food and fun! After dinner, guests took to the dance floor singing at the top of their lungs and let loose until closing time. But not before Curtis and Kim got a final group shot from the balcony! Finally, after their touching and romantic last dance, it was time to see the happy couple ride off into the sunset to begin a blissful marriage to last the rest of their lives. Danielle and Rich’s lovely day was captured in hundreds of gorgeous photographs, which were retouched back at the CKE studio in Billerica. Lots of laughs, tears and happy memories were created and it was a real honor to be included in this wonderful celebration of love. How to choose a wedding dress that you can dance in
Finding the right wedding dress can be quite a challenge, especially when you are a bride who wishes to dance the night away on your wedding. Nevertheless, it is possible! The bridal experts from Best for Bride in Canada have the following advice for brides on the search for the perfect dress that looks great, is comfortable and can be danced in as well. Best for Bride is a reputed Canadian Bridal dress chain and wedding services provider. They have a vast inventory of wedding dresses, dresses for the the bridal party and everything the modern bride needs for her wedding day. Pay attention to the dress silhouette and shape
Different wedding dress styles look good on different women. Identify the best wedding dress silhouettes that flatter your figure with the help of this guide on the Huff Post. Using this as a reference, choose a flattering dress silhouette for your body type that also allows you the space and circumference to move around freely. Snug silhouettes like the mermaid and trumpet restrict movement while A-line gowns, ball gowns and dresses with shorter hemlines are better suited for moving in.
Choose the right structure and style
Wedding dresses are complex garments with layers of structuring. It is this rigid structuring that creates the shape of a dress. The firmer the internal boning, the more it will restrict movement. When choosing dresses, opt for those with flexible boning that will move in all directions. Or select ones that are made without boning cinches and flow freely. Another factor to consider is how heavy and poufy the skirt is. Heavily layered dresses look good, but do not function well for dancing. They will stifle movement. So, it is best to choose dresses with fewer layers in the skirt.
Make sure it fits well
Unless your dress fits you well, it will not be comfortable to move in. Ill-fitting necklines and bodices increase the risk of a wardrobe disaster. Avoid embarrassing yourself on the most special day of your life, by making sure your dress fits you like a glove. Buy a dress in the right size or a size greater than your actual size and have it altered to your exact measurements. To be on the safe side, you can also ask your seamstress to add elastic waistbands and a bustier, if the dress has a strapless neckline.
The length should be right
When you choose a long wedding dress, the hemline should just skim your toes to avoid tripping and falling. When you will be wearing heels, your dress hemline should be adjuested for the heel height as well. If the dress has a long train, you should secure it tightly when you bustle it. Short wedding dresses are well-suited for dancing, and there are many designer collections with little white wedding dresses of every style, silhouette and design. Another practical option is to wear a dress with a detachable train or a two-in-one skirt with a separate layer that can be removed when it is time to dance. Here are some examples.
