Family day at Washville Car Wash, Haverhill, MA 05-16-26

I was asked to be a vendor and provide DJ music and on mic entertainment, give aways, etc, for a family day at Washville Car Wash. I had no expectations because I don’t know anything about the car wash business, but I am happy to report it was a life changing and unexpected experience. The culture at this car wash was like a big happy family with everybody very upbeat and driven to help each other and every customer that comes through. The sheer volume of this car wash was absolutely mind boggling and upon doing a little bit of research I understand that on a busy day they can do in the area of 1200 cars through this car wash. There were 3 intake lanes that were in use during the four hours that I was there and my head was absolutely spinning as part of the promotion that I was asked to do, I was giving away free car washes, a total car care package that’s contained in a zip lock bag, and a reusable MicroFibre polishing cloth that you would use to remove the moisture from your car immediately after going through the car wash. Part of this promotion was that this microfiber towel is usually a $5 purchase. You can use it on your car and get it good and dirty and then bring it back to any Washville and hand it to any member of the team. They will immediately replace it with a brand new microfiber towel and this repeation replacement is good for the rest of your life – over and over. The patrons of the car wash were absolutely thrilled as I continued to give them away throughout the four hours and one of the shocking things that I learned was as I tried to give away these business cards sized certificates that were redeemable for a free car wash, 9 out of every 10 people that I handed it to said that they appreciated it, but there was no need to give it to them because they were already a monthly member meaning they were paying for their membership and they can stop by the car wash as many times as they every day of the week and every day of the month. So it was comical as they continued to politely refuse my free car wash cards. It was a tremendous experience and this is an extremely well run organization. AND…20 High Power vacuum stations – WOW! They have 26 locations in New England and New York and there are two more being built as we speak. Absolutely mind blowing! Great job to everyone that works there. Special shout out to Luis, Howie, and Tom – super nice people :-)! – Curtis
